The silence of the dead is broken only by the scrape of bone on stone.
A forgotten burial site carved into the limestone hills, now suffused with necrotic energy. The air is frigid and the smell of ancient dust permeates every chamber.
Distant scraping sounds echo through the halls. The walls are covered in a thin, pale blue bioluminescent moss that provides dim, flickering light. A metallic scent of old blood and ozone hangs in the air.

Malphas the Unbound, a powerful Wraith trapped within a shattered necrotic crystal in the deepest chamber. Malphas radiates a chilling aura that slows the movements of any living intruders and slowly siphons their life force to fuel his eventual escape into the world of the living.
History
Built as the final resting place for the disgraced Van-Heist nobility, the crypt was later occupied by a sect of cultists who sought to animate the dead. The cultists were eventually consumed by their own creations, leaving the halls to be patrolled by restless spirits and animated remains. Today, it serves as a grim monument to failed ambition and the permanence of death.
