A sprawling ruin of iron bars and shattered glass where exotic creatures from across the planes once lived in captivity. Now, the hunters roam the corridors as masters, and the remnants of their keepers lie forgotten in the dust.
The air is heavy with the scent of damp fur and ozone. Constant rustling and distant, echoing growls fill the silence. Dim green light filters through ivy-choked skylights, casting long, shifting shadows across the cracked tile floors.
☠ Threat
The Apex Alpha, a massive Displaced Beast with hyper-intelligence, rules the ruins. It has learned to manipulate the remaining cage mechanisms to trap prey. It treats the entire dungeon as its personal pantry, stalking adventurers through the shadows before driving them toward the central arena for the final kill.
History
Built by the eccentric Lord Vaelin a century ago, the Menagerie was a wonder of the world until a magical containment breach shattered the arcane locks. The ensuing chaos saw the staff consumed and the forest reclaim the stone structures. For decades, the beasts have bred and mutated within these walls, creating a lethal ecosystem isolated from the outside world.
