A sprawling vertical hive carved into a dormant volcanic vent, where the rock has been fused into jagged black glass. The air is thin, vibrating with the psychic hum of a paranoid master.
The air smells of ozone and scorched stone. A constant, low-frequency thrumming makes teeth ache, while flickering purple bioluminescence casts distorted shadows against the mirror-polished obsidian walls.

Xyzanth the All-Seeing, an ancient Beholder whose exposure to the rift has granted her the ability to fold space. She suffers from extreme paranoia, believing every shadow is a hidden assassin, and has rigged her lair to be a lethal gauntlet for anyone not bearing her psychic mark.
History
Originally an outpost for dwarf deep-miners, the site was decimated by a reality-warping rift from the Far Realm. A powerful Beholder hive mother named Xyzanth claimed the ruins, using her disintegration rays to sculpt a nightmare of glass and geometry to house her growing legion of thralls.
