The Amber-Bolt Sanctum
Electricity dances over obsidian as the fires of old flicker in the deep.
An ancient, symmetrical trial chamber built into the volcanic rock of a floating spire. The architecture is clean and intentional, designed to filter out the unworthy through tests of heat and lightning.
The air smells of ozone and heated metal, and a constant low-frequency hum vibrates through the floors. Lighting is provided by glowing blue runes and veins of molten magma visible through cracks in the obsidian tiles.
☠ Threat
The core of the dungeon is inhabited by a dormant storm-sentience that lashes out at any magical disturbance. This entity, known as the Fulgurant Eye, animates the very air and stone to purge intruders. Its presence causes hair to stand on end and metal to hum with dangerous potential energy.
History
Established by the Magicians of the Helian Empire, this sanctum served as a proving ground for those seeking the favor of the Djinn of Flame. For centuries, the fires were kept burning by arcane conduits, though only the hum of ancient machinery remains today. It was abandoned when the empire fell, leaving its automated defenses to guard forgotten riches.

Rumours & Whispers
