The Scorched Sanctuary
The light of the sun has been twisted into a hungry, white-hot furnace.
A once-holy site dedicated to a solar deity, now ruined by a catastrophic magical meltdown that left its corridors filled with lingering heat and cinders. The marble walls are blackened and the air shimmers with a permanent haze of floating ash.
The air is stifling and dry, smelling of ozone and sulfur. Faint, rhythmic humming vibrates through the floor, sounding like a massive forge at work.
☠ Threat
The Cinder Priest, a fallen leader now possessed by a malevolent fire spirit, seeks to expand the temple's scorching aura to the nearby surface. He commands a host of ash-bound spirits and fire-forged constructs that patrol the molten halls, ensuring no one disrupts his ritual of eternal noon.
History
Built centuries ago by the Order of the Blazing Dawn to harbor the Cinder Heart, a relic of the Plane of Fire. A disgruntled acolyte attempted to tap into the relic's power, triggering an explosion of elemental energy that consumed the monks and transformed the High Priest into a burning husk of his former self.
