A jagged limestone cavern system that has been repurposed by a cult of earth-binders. The tunnels are slick with moisture and hum with a low, vibrating frequency that unnerves the soul.
The air smells of wet mineral and ozone. Constant grinding of stone echoes from the deep, and dim phosphorescent lichen provides a sickly green low light.

Vraxos the Lithomancer and his warped elemental servants. His influence causes the very walls of the cave to shift and crush intruders, making the environment as deadly as the inhabitants. He seeks to collapse the nearby trade town into a sinkhole to fuel his ascension.
History
Originally a natural fissure, the Maw was occupied by the Stone-Eater clan centuries ago. They carved shrines to primordial deities before being wiped out by a subterranean plague. Now, a rogue geomancer named Vraxos has re-activated the ancient lithic circles to siphon power from the Underdark, turning the caves into a fortified ritual site.
