Gnash-Tooth Den
The scent of charred fur and cheap ale hangs heavy in the damp air.
A natural cave system recently overtaken by the Broken Tusk goblin tribe. The original bear inhabitants have been mostly displaced, leaving a chaotic mix of wild beast pheromones and goblin filth.
The caves are dark and cramped with ceilings rarely exceeding seven feet. The ground is a mix of packed dirt and slick stone. Sounds of snapping wood, high-pitched goblin laughter, and distant growling echo constantly through the chambers.
☠ Threat
Targub the Render, a goblin obsessed with 'taming' the local wildlife, is the primary threat. His presence has driven the remaining bears into a frenzy, making the caves twice as dangerous as they would be otherwise. He keeps a captive bear as a status symbol, though he barely has control over it and uses pain to keep it obedient.
History
For decades, these caves were a sanctuary for mountain bears during the winter months. A month ago, a goblin warband led by Targub the Render used fire and oil to drive the bears into the deeper recesses. They now use the caves as a staging ground for raids on the southern trade road, using stolen barrels as makeshift fortifications.
