The Sunder-Scale Lair
The air is thick with the scent of bile and the low hum of predatory insects.
A winding network of natural caverns and crudely carved tunnels repurposed as a stronghold by mutated reptilian horrors. The walls are slick with a viscous, phosphorescent slime that reacts to body heat, casting a sickly green glow over the gore-strewn floors.
Stifling humid heat, the pungent smell of acidic rot, dim green lighting from fungal blooms, and the rhythmic sound of dripping liquid echoing in the dark.
☠ Threat
Malchor the Dissolver, a massive, pustule-ridden Young Black Dragon with two heads, dominates the lair. His presence slowly liquefies the stone around him, threatening to collapse the cavern on any who do not bow to his erratic, hunger-driven whims.
History
Long ago, this cave was a silver mine owned by the dwarven Sunder-Shield clan. The site was abandoned after an accidental breach into a vein of chaotic magical energy. A brood of black dragon-kin found the site, feeding on the energies and twisting into the monstrous sentinels that guard the depths today.
