Cross the Reef Before the Tide Turns
Read Aloud
- The surf slams the reef and whitens the water. Something long and pale slides under the foam. - A head breaks the surface near the rocks, then another below the waterline. The channel is full of teeth. - The eels are hunting the edge, trying to pull one of you into the tide pools and cut the group in half.
