Noble's Transmuter's Cache

Atop a velvet-covered map table in the private solar of a lesser noble's townhouse the transmuter wizard made their final stand. The study smells faintly of ozone and sealing wax. Shelves that once held rare minerals are overturned and a brass alchemical brazier has been shattered into green glass. In the rubble the party uncovers the wizard's working effects and a modest cache of noble valuables: the spellbook crowded with transmutation notes, a pair of spell scrolls salvaged from melted inks, a wand and healing potion, and the boxed finery of the house's minor heir. A ledger reveals payments and a neatly hidden pouch of coin. A plain signet ring and several high-quality gemstones complete the haul. The treasure mix rewards casters with research material, provides emergency healing and utility for the group, and yields enough coin and saleable jewels to satisfy a noble's ransom or to fund the party's next expedition.
