The party clears a low, water-streaked cellar beneath an old watchtower where rats and mold have been the most persistent inhabitants. In a collapsed chest and a rusted iron box beneath a heap of old sacks the adventurers find a modest savings of mixed coin, a practical set of tools and supplies useful for continued dungeon toil, and a handful of small tradeable gems. A single common healing potion will help patch up the worst of their wounds. Among the mundane spoils they discover a worn dagger bearing a subtle enchantment and two curiosities of note: a faintly glowing cloak that aids a fleeting stealthy move and a jar of luminescent moss that could fetch coin with an alchemist or light their way when rations run low. The haul suits a low-level party: immediately useful supplies, a couple of tradable items to convert into services or gear, and a minor magic item that rewards cautious play rather than raw power.
