The hobgoblins' equipment is noticeably superior, revealing that they were imposing order on the tribe and preparing for a deeper expedition. The incomplete map and brass token suggest a larger goblin presence below, possibly organized around the crowned-skull mark. Most of the armor and shields can be sold or repaired, though the party may find them more useful as evidence of the patrol's origin than as permanent equipment.
