Wail of the Forgotten: Banshee Crypt Trophies

After silencing the four banshees that haunted the family crypt, the party searches chamber after chamber of collapsed sarcophagi and vaulted niches. Most valuables are memorial offerings and the personal effects of the dead rather than armor or weapons. Between ruined coffins and the mossed altar the party finds a fragile spell scroll folded into a prayer book, a single healing potion left by a desperate mourner, and a small purse of mixed coins. Jewelry and two modest gemstones were kept as keepsakes in a grieving widow's compartment. In the darkest recesses the party uncovers a vial of sticky, cold ectoplasm scraped from the banshees themselves, and a tattered mourning shawl that hums faintly with the dead's sorrow. The haul is more sentimental and ritual in nature than martial, offering components and small magics useful to a party of the fourth level investigating undead rites and graveyard mysteries.
