The Embervault Hoard

Hidden within a collapsed vaulted chamber under a volcanic ridge, the party discovers the Embervault Hoard, a dragon's collection curated over centuries. No living guardian remains, but the vault has been opened and looted before: valuables are abundant, carefully stored and sometimes marked with draconic sigils that hint at later caches and secrets. The trove contains coinage and gemstones intended for spellcasting, rare crafting materials such as adamantine and dragonhide, several powerful magic items suited to high-level adventurers, and a few unique relics tailored to dealings with dragons. The hoard is a mixture of usable wealth and story hooks—maps, keys, and ritual-grade components that point to further draconic sites. Recovering everything will require time and secure transport, and some items may attract the attention of covetous dragons or cults if their provenance becomes known.
