The Tale of This Treasure
The house finally quieted. The spectral family that had lit lamps in empty rooms for years no longer stirred when the party walked its halls. In the attic and the parlor the investigators found objects that tied the restless spirits to their past and to a retired TAP agent who never spoke of the slaughter. The party recovered practical items and valuables: a healing potion and a spell scroll for their next cases, three modest gems and a silver tea set the family once treasured, and a battered TAP badge and letters that tell the tragic story. As a token of thanks and closure, the retired agent slid a small locket into the party's care, asking them to return it to a museum or a place of memory. The items are a mix of tradeable goods, sentimental heirlooms, and a single small magical keepsake meant to comfort rather than to arm—appropriate for a level two party that solved more than a mystery and gave a family peace.
