The party clears the final, dust-choked chamber of an old underground archive. Shelves collapsed into heaps, iron-bound chests cracked open, and a collapsed lectern yield a surprising mixture of practical supplies, modest trade goods, and a few useful magical items the Archivist hoarded for study. The Bag of Holding likely belonged to an itinerant collector, while the cloaked humanoid statue and gemstones were offerings or trade stock. A handful of healing potions and an alchemist's vial suggest the Archivist expected danger. Tucked beneath rolled parchments the party finds a carefully sealed spell scroll. A curious sample of bioluminescent fungus and an engraved rune key hint at the dungeon's deeper wards and the Archivist's experiments. Overall the haul is well suited to a party of fifth level: enough consumables and utility magic to aid future exploration, a couple of permanent magical items to alter tactics, and valuables the party can sell or use for crafting.
