The Ashes of the Saved Harvest

The seed wagon survived, but only barely. Its canvas covers are scorched, several crates are blackened, and the smell of brimstone clings to every surviving sack. Behind the wreckage of the veterans' defensive line, the party finds the young red dragon's temporary hoard, mixed with the equipment of the slain mercenaries and the grisly remains of its hell hounds. The dragon's wealth is substantial but not overwhelming for an eleventh-level party, while the most important discovery is the intact lockbox of seed records. The scales and fiendish remains provide valuable crafting opportunities, and the charm fashioned from a scale can become a lasting symbol of the party's defense of the harvest.
