The Keeper's Sealed Vault

The stone door opens with a grinding crack. Dry dust spills from the lintel, followed by the stink of old oil and sealed earth. Within lie stacked tablets, wrapped tools, a few personal keepsakes, and a shallow bronze tray holding silver bars and broken jewelry. A disturbed counterweight clatters somewhere above the door, warning that the vault was not meant to be opened carelessly.
