After clearing a dim, foul-smelling chamber where three bugbears and two opportunistic bandits had been squatting, the party finds the remnants of a quick-lived camp. The bugbears kept heavy striking weapons and a few crude pelts, while the bandits hoarded small coin purses, a couple of decent weapons and a set of thieves' tools for breaking into travelers' packs. Tucked beneath a pallet is a common potion of healing and a polished onyx that suggests someone in the group had ties to a fence or local jeweler. A carved talisman hints at tribal superstitions among the bugbears rather than true magic. Between usable arms and tradeable goods, the haul should equip the party for repairs and fund a stay in the nearest town.
