Spoils Beneath the Ender’s Shadow

The battlefield is quiet now, though the ground still bears the scars of the dragon’s arrival. Militia gear lies scattered among broken pikes, scorched earth, and splintered shields. Most of the useful spoils come from the fallen soldiers rather than the creature itself, whose hide and bones proved too strange and dangerous to harvest safely. Beneath a collapsed supply cart, the party finds a small cache of weapons, powder, coin, and personal effects. Near the place where the ender’s blood touched the soil, they also discover several dark crystal shards and an unfamiliar iron token that hums with faint planar energy. The haul is modest in immediate wealth, but the strange materials may become more valuable if the party finds an alchemist or occult scholar willing to study them.
