The Ossuary of Nightfall

Beneath vaulted stone ribs and the dripping gloom of a forgotten ossuary the party found the aftermath of a long night of unlife. Twenty skeletons and a swarm of ghouls rose from alcoves and tombs to test steel, while a single animated suit of armor and a lurking shadow pressed the flanks. At the center lay the corpse of a Skeleton Minotaur and the terrible Ghast Gravecaller, who clutched a tarnished reliquary. After the fight the party sifted through robes, bone trinkets, and smashed chests. They collected copper and coin saved in a pouch, a market-quality opal, healing potions taken from a ghastly healer's satchel, a 2nd-level spell scroll, a +1 longsword pried from the Minotaur's grip, and armor plates from the animated suit salvaged for reforging. Practical but valuable finds included necrotic crafting components that will serve an alchemist or necromancer, a Bag of Holding found in a hidden side vault, and a Cloak of Protection secreted in the Gravecaller’s mantle. Finally the party recovered two items tied to the place itself: a Bone-etched Talisman of Courage and a Shadowwrit Shard, both clearly linked to the Gravecaller and suitable for future hooks or ritual use.
