Spoils of the Unfinished Saint

The battlefield is littered with broken spears, torn prayer banners, and the remains of the temple guard's final formation. The guards carried little beyond their equipment and wages, but Vauldren's defeat has disturbed the sanctuary's deeper reliquary. Among the rubble lie gemstones torn from ceremonial standards, a silver holy symbol bearing the saint's unfinished likeness, and a pair of enchanted prayer stones. The most unsettling discovery is a pale, veined fragment of Vauldren's body. It still feels faintly warm despite the corpse having fallen cold, and faint whispers seem to rise from it whenever someone speaks the saint's name.
