The Spoils of the Split-Crown Ambush

The defeated bandits had been using the battlefield as both a killing ground and a scavenger's market, stripping valuables from the dead before ambushing travelers who came to recover them. Their captain kept the best prizes close: the enchanted cloak, the noble signet, the healing potion, and a ledger recording payments to corrupt officials. The remainder consists of pooled coin, salvaged weapons, damaged armor, gemstones, and trade goods gathered from the carnage. Much of the equipment is usable but visibly worn, while the map and ledger hint that the bandits' operation extended beyond this single battlefield.
