Its story
A slender ring of polished silver surrounds a sapphire that seems to hold a turning starfield. Fine blue runes circle the band, brightening when its magic stirs. When activated, translucent geometric sigils appear beneath the wearer's feet, each step leaving a brief ripple of light in the air or across water.
Lore
Coastal legends say the ring was made by teaching a star to run across the sea. Sailors once watched its bearers cross moonlit bays without disturbing the water, and some still leave a silver coin at old signal towers in hopes the ring will return when they need it.
History
Ilyra Venn fashioned the ring to carry messages between isolated towers along a storm-lashed coast. It passed through the hands of couriers, smugglers, and rescue crews, earning a reputation as a swift aid in desperate crossings.
