Its story
A sealed, articulated shell of black iron and burnished brass, tall enough to make its wearer seem more ogre than human. Riveted plates overlap across the chest and limbs, while glassy blue stones set into the shoulders and forearms glow when the suit's shield generators awaken. A hooded helm bears a narrow slit of amber lenses, and a heavy chainsword hangs from a toothed, cable-wrapped gauntlet. Its engine-heart beats with a slow, furnace-like thrum.
Lore
The Ironheart Harness is said to be a triumph of dwarf craft, though no rune-smith will claim its strange inner workings as their own. Dwarfs call it a relic of the Ancestor Gods; Imperial scholars whisper that it predates the Empire by ages. Its shield-light has turned aside arrows, blades, and even the charge of a troll, but its true worth is measured in the courage it lends whoever stands inside it.
History
According to the few surviving records, the suit was built by Karak Zhul engineers after they found a sealed metal chamber far below their hold. It was carried into battle by the dwarf engineer Brokk Ironvein during the Siege of Black Crag. Brokk held a breach against greenskins until the shield stones dimmed and the chainsword's teeth ran red. The armour vanished in the rout that followed.
