Its story
A fist-sized, many-faceted green gem, heavy for its size and clear as spring water near its edges. Hair-thin golden veins spiral around a darker emerald heart. When held near raw stone, faint green sparks drift toward seams of crystal or ore. Despite its brilliance, the gem feels cool and perfectly smooth.
Lore
Known as the Heart of the Green Vein, the gem is said to remember every crystal that has ever grown around it. Mountain prospectors prize it, while jewelers regard it as a patient teacher: its light is believed to guide a careful hand toward beautiful, stable cuts.
History
Orra Deepglint shaped the gem from a crystal found beneath an ancient mountain shrine. She used it to mark safe routes through mineral-rich caverns, then passed it to the guild of jewelers who protected the shrine. It vanished during a mine collapse and resurfaced generations later in a merchant's collection.
