Its story
A light, sweeping cutlass of polished obsidian, its keen edge bound in tempered glass. The guard curves outward like a small sun-catcher, with facets that gather the light. In bright illumination, thin rainbows ripple down the dark blade; near the coast, it gives a faint, clear ring like a distant harbor bell.
Lore
Glassmakers along the Ashen Shelf say a fine blade should carry the coast's two faces: obsidian's dark patience and the sudden brilliance of sunlight on the bay. Dazzle-Glass Cutlasses became a familiar sight among those who guard the docks and escort valuable cargo.
History
First crafted for a harbor duelist on the Ashen Shelf, the design was copied by Aethel-Vazhar glasswrights and weaponsmiths. Dockside guards and merchant escorts favored the blade for its quick balance and its startling flash in a sunlit skirmish.
