Its story
A dense, roughly head-sized green stone, veined with pale jade and dark mineral streaks. Its surface is smooth in some places and rugged in others, as if it were carved from a mountain and then polished by a river. When held, its veins glimmer like sunlight through deep water. A thumb-sized hollow in its center can be pressed to reshape the whole stone into a useful tool or weapon.
Lore
Old tales say each stone holds a fragment of a green mountain that learned to change its shape. Among wandering folk, carrying one is a sign of practical wisdom: the stone gives you what you need, but never more than you can wield.
History
Verdigris stonewrights made these stones for scouts and caravan guards who needed to carry an armory without hauling one. One was recovered from a collapsed mountain pass after its bearer used it to fashion a pick and break through to safety.
