Its story
A forearm of translucent stellar hardlight, edged in fine silver circuitry, floats beside its chosen bearer until called. When it locks onto a shoulder or stump, it forms a seamless prosthetic arm of articulated light, tracing the shape of a gauntlet from elbow to fingertips. A narrow blade unfolds from the wrist with the sound of a distant bell: a sword of blue-white radiance, its core flecked with moving stars. The arm can be dismissed and summoned at will, leaving no wound or scar.
Lore
The arm is said to be a fragment of a machine built to hold a dying star in place. It does not choose champions for their strength, but for their willingness to reach toward others. Old star charts mark its passage as a brief new constellation: a hand holding a blade.
History
The arm was severed from the Prime Engine during the fall of the Astral Foundry. Centuries later, the star-knight Ilyra carried it through the siege of the Seven Gates, using its blade to cut a path through an invading army and its collapsing portals. After Ilyra vanished into the night sky, the arm appeared in the hands of a village healer whose missing arm had never been replaced.
