Its story
A broad, detachable jump pack of blackened steel, ribbed copper piping, and heavy brass couplings, built to clamp onto the backplate of powered armour. Two squat turbine bells flank a central pressure boiler, while articulated vanes and a gyroscopic cage twitch with tiny corrective movements. When lit, its exhaust burns a startling blue-white, spitting sparks and smelling of hot pennies, lamp oil, and scorched hair.
Lore
Old Nulnese ballads call it the Blue Heron, though its silhouette is closer to a boiler with wings. Engineers insist it is merely clever pressure-work. Priests of Sigmar are less certain, especially when its exhaust burns blue even in the rain.
History
Kessler designed the pack for a single armoured champion during the defence of Nuln's river walls. Its first flight carried the champion over a breached parapet to silence a Chaos war-engine. The surviving pack has since vanished from the Arsenal's records, appearing in the hands of mercenaries, collectors, and at least one very alarmed Imperial engineer.
