Its story
Ebony is a sleek, blackened-steel pistol with a grip of polished darkwood; Ivory is its mirror image, built of pale, enamel-bright alloy with a bone-white grip. Fine brass gears and tiny luminous runes show through cutaway panels in each frame. When brought near, the pistols tug toward one another, their sights aligning with a soft, precise click. When held together, a thin blue-white arc dances between their muzzles like a drawn line of lightning.
Lore
Old gunsmiths say Ebony and Ivory are not two weapons but one machine with a divided heart. Their shared mind remembers every hand that has carried them and every shot fired in unison. They yearn to be wielded together, not merely reunited in a vault.
History
Voss built the pistols as a matched set, calibrating each mechanism against the other. They passed through the hands of duelists, revolutionaries, and collectors, but their legends always begin when both are fired in the same battle. Separations have ended in broken safes, ruined ships, and long trails of inexplicable mechanical failures.
