Its story
This radiant harp is carved from pale, close-grained wood veined with gold, its frame shaped like a pair of wings sheltering a small, many-colored rose window. Ten strings of warm, silvery light cross its face. When plucked, each note appears as a visible ripple of sacred color that travels through the air, briefly outlining every creature it reaches. Its sound is gentle even amid battle, like an old roadside hymn remembered from childhood.
Lore
The Echo Harp of Origins is said to hear the first note beneath every later song: the common beginning shared by joy and grief, blessing and burden. Its hymns do not erase what has happened. Instead, they rearrange who bears its lingering magic, forcing a battlefield to confront how easily fortune can change hands.
History
Saelliel fashioned the harp from a fallen tree struck by a star and strings spun from light caught in the windows of a ruined sanctuary. She carried it from town to town, drawing on hymns and laments to calm the terrified and rally the weary. In a legendary battle, she played a single refrain that exchanged the wounds of the defenders with the vigor of their foes, ending the fighting without claiming a life. The harp remembers that performance as its first true song.
