Its story
The Climb I Owe can take the form of any melee or ranged weapon. Its grip, haft, or hilt is wrapped in weather-darkened climbing cord, and a small brass anchor sits close to the hand. A fine blue line runs through the metal like a route marked on a survey map. When the weapon answers a debt, the line flashes, and a taut, rope-like twang cuts through the surrounding noise.
Lore
Among climbers, guides, and quarry crews, a debt paid in blood is not settled by words. Stories say this weapon remembers who held the line when darkness closed in, then lends its bearer a little of that stubborn courage when another ally is threatened.
History
The Climb I Owe has no fixed first owner or recorded forging. It appears when a life-debt becomes part of its bearer’s story, taking the shape of a weapon they can use. Its line brightens as the bearer risks themself to repay that debt, and the weapon may grow in power as the campaign advances.
