Rooted Monstrosity. The Broodmother is fused to the cavern wall. She has a speed of 0 and automatically fails Dexterity saving throws. She cannot be moved by any means short of a Wish spell.
Spiritual Umbilical. The Broodmother is linked to High Priestess Valthara. While the cord is intact, half of any damage the Broodmother takes is transferred to Valthara. If Valthara dies, the Broodmother enters a Frenzy, making three leg strikes as a bonus action.
Brood Burst. When the Broodmother takes more than 30 damage in a single turn, a Swarm of Blood Spiders bursts from her sac and lands in an unoccupied space within 10 feet.
Multiattack. The Broodmother makes four Leg Strikes.
Leg Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 18 () piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be grappled (escape ).
Sanguine Spray (Recharge 5-6). The Broodmother sprays caustic, sticky blood in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw.
