Graviton Void-Worm
Deep delvers describe a pressure in the skull before the Graviton Void-Worm arrives. Its passage through the rock leaves no tunnel, only missing stone that seems to have been somewhere else for a moment. Scholars of the Verdant Heart Nexus disagree on whether it came from beyond Aethelia's planar boundary or emerged from an older, deeper fold in the world.

Tactics
Opening
The worm senses the party through the stone and approaches unseen. It erupts from a wall or floor beside clustered creatures, then bites a likely threat before using its tail to scatter others.
Mid-fight
It alternates bites against isolated targets with tail sweeps that break formation. If creatures surround it, it burrows through the floor and attacks from a new angle.
End of the fight
When badly wounded, it uses Tail Sweep to scatter nearby foes, then slips through the rock toward a core-fissure. It may make one final bite against a creature separating from the group.
Retreat
It is not courageous or vindictive. If reduced below 60 hit points and unable to reach prey, it burrows away through solid material, leaving no passage behind.

Ecology
A leviathan of overlapping obsidian-chitin plates forces its way through the deep stone without breaking it. Three concentric rings of crystalline teeth rotate inside its enormous maw, each ring turning at a different angle. Around its body, distance buckles: nearby crystals seem to lean closer, while the worm's far end appears impossibly distant. Its passing brings a dry mineral tang to the air, a low pressure in the ears, and a faint glassy ringing.
Behavior
A patient ambush predator, it detects vibrations and leyline changes through stone. It circles beneath prey, then attacks when their footing is compromised or they gather near a fissure. It rarely pursues prey far from unstable crystal formations.
How it lives
The worm feeds on creatures, leyline-charged minerals, and the energy released by unstable fissures. It leaves no tunnel, but its feeding grounds gather drifting shards, bent roots, and patches where gravity changes without warning. Its presence may indicate a disturbed leyline, though it does not understand the cause.
Lair
It lairs beneath the Graviton Trenches, near broad fissures where the Verdant Heart Nexus's gravity tilts and twists. It does not maintain a den; it rests within solid rock and slips away without leaving a trace.
- Habitat
- The Graviton Trenches and the surrounding deep reaches of the Verdant Heart Nexus, especially floating crystal ruins and unstable core-fissures.

What drives it
Hunt, feed, and remain close to the gravity distortions that shelter it.
After the fight
When the worm dies, its singularity aura collapses with a sound like a deep bell heard underwater. Loose debris drops, crystal dust spirals inward, and the ground settles in a widening ring. For a few minutes, swallowed creatures and nearby objects drift toward the corpse before gravity steadies.
