Ssesha Vardaki
Commoner
Ssesha Vardaki
Species
Goblin
Appearance
Ssesha is a compact goblin woman with an astonishing hourglass silhouette, a narrow waist, broad hips, and the confident posture of someone who has spent decades making an entire room look at her. Her movements are liquid and economical, with every turn of the wrist and roll of the shoulder carrying the memory of dance halls, crowded kitchens, and alleyway escapes. Her olive-green skin has a satin sheen across her shoulders but rough, weather-darkened patches along her hands and elbows from years of work. She leaves the impression of warmth, danger, and expensive perfume, yet the first thing many people notice is that she is usually carrying a flour-stained apron, a squalling toddler, or both. The contradiction is deliberate. Ssesha dresses like an invitation and behaves like a fortress.
“Her voice is breathy and smoky, with a sharp sibilant edge. She speaks quickly when amused and slowly when dangerous, rolling certain consonants in a faint mixture of Goblin street slang and inherited Vardakian cadence.”

Distinguishing Features
A tiny brass bell is braided into the hair above her left temple and rings whenever she turns sharply.
Her lower canines are capped with mismatched silver thimbles, gifts from two of her children.
She has unusually broad, callused palms for a dancer and habitually tests the weight of nearby objects.
Her perfume smells faintly of cardamom, lamp oil, and orange peel.
She can cross a crowded room without brushing against anyone, yet somehow makes every person feel she passed directly beside them.
Voice
“Low, husky, breathy, and theatrically controlled, with a sharp sibilant lilt and a laugh like a dropped tray of silverware”
Clothing
She wears a plum-colored halter vest reinforced with hidden leather panels, a high-slit layered skirt of green and copper silk, striped stockings, polished ankle boots, and a belt crowded with ribbons, keys, sweets, and small blades. Her outfits are always seductive by design, but never impractical. Beneath the finery she wears a flour-dusted household apron when working and a boiled-leather corslet when expecting trouble.
Body Language
Ssesha occupies space with theatrical confidence, often standing on furniture or leaning against someone much larger than herself. When relaxed, she hooks one ankle behind the other and sways faintly as if hearing music no one else can. When angry, her shoulders become perfectly still and her fingers begin folding napkins into tiny geometric shapes.
