Theron Gold-Vein
Fighter 13, Battle Master
Theron Gold-Vein
Species
Aethelgard Half-Dragon, Gold Draconic Ancestry
Appearance
Theron is a broad, powerfully built half-dragon whose polished gold scales have been etched by wind, grit, and volcanic ash into fine pale striations along his shoulders, forearms, and ribs. His muzzle is square, his horns sweep back close to the skull, and his eyes shine a deep furnace-amber that rarely blink when someone is speaking. He moves with the measured economy of a siege engine, every turn deliberate, every pause placed. His hands are the most revealing part of him: thick-knuckled, heavily callused, and permanently darkened at the fingertips by years of handling signal powder, map charcoal, and hot brass instruments. An unexpected softness clings to him in small details. He keeps a tiny blue wool thread tied around one wrist, replacing it whenever it frays, and he smells faintly of cedar oil beneath the iron, smoke, and old leather.
“His voice is low, dry, and controlled, with a faint rasp like a blade drawn across stone. He wastes no words on ornament, but his battle commands carry with startling force through wind and smoke.”

Distinguishing Features
Wind-burn striations pale the gold scales along his forearms and shoulders.
His hands are visibly blackened at the fingertips from signal powder and heated brass instruments.
A copper-cased spyglass hangs from a leather harness at his left hip, its rim worn smooth where his thumb checks it before every order.
A narrow blue wool thread is tied around his right wrist, bright against his gold scales and iron armor.
The plates of his armor carry tiny punched marks recording every major alarm raised during his command.
Voice
“A low, dry baritone with a metallic undertone, controlled enough to make a whisper sound like an order.”
Clothing
Dark iron plate mail covers him from throat to greaves, its surfaces oiled to a dull sheen and patched with plates cut from different campaigns. Beneath it he wears thick crimson wool, visible at the collar, elbows, and knees. A weather-stained command sash crosses his torso, carrying coded brass tabs for patrol routes, artillery batteries, and beacon status.
Body Language
He stands squarely, with his hands folded behind his back and his tail held low to avoid brushing nearby equipment. When evaluating a person, he tilts his head a fraction and fixes them with one unblinking amber eye. Before giving an order, he taps the worn brass rim of his spyglass twice against his gauntlet.
