Boran Sulek
Wizard
Boran Sulek
Species
Human
Appearance
Boran is a lean, weather-beaten human man with the compact strength of someone who has hauled water, dug graves, and slept in abandoned kilns rather than lived in towers. His skin is brown and wind-dried, roughened across the hands and forearms by years of ash, salt, and ritual work. His black hair is cut close at the sides and tied at the nape with red thread, though loose strands constantly cling to his forehead as if damp. He moves with careful economy, never wasting a step, and turns his whole body toward whoever is speaking instead of merely looking at them. The first impression is of a tired village laborer dressed in a scholar's clothes. The contradiction becomes unsettling when his shadow moves a fraction later than he does.
“Boran speaks in a low, dry voice with a rural cadence. He uses short sentences when giving instructions and elaborate, almost scholarly explanations when defending a moral choice.”

Distinguishing Features
His shadow lags behind his movements by a heartbeat, most clearly when he turns quickly.
The nails of both hands are permanently darkened with red-brown ritual pigment that no washing removes.
He smells faintly of singed rye, cold iron, and wet cellar stone.
A thin line of tiny inked numerals circles his left wrist, recording the names of people whose memories he has taken.
He constantly touches the red thread tied around his hair whenever he hears a promise.
Voice
“Quiet, dry, and steady, with the faint rasp of someone accustomed to smoke-filled rooms. When casting demonic magic, a second voice repeats the final word of each sentence from somewhere just behind him.”
Clothing
He wears a patched charcoal traveling coat over a faded russet tunic, both stiff with old smoke. A broad belt carries chalk, sealing wax, folded spell papers, and a carpenter's measuring cord. His boots are practical and mud-caked, while his gloves are fine black goat leather with the fingertips cut away. A plain red sash is tied at his waist in the style of his birthplace.
Body Language
Boran keeps his hands folded behind his back unless he is touching a charm, measuring a distance, or preparing a spell. He checks the red thread around his hair whenever someone says his full name. During moments of anger, he becomes perfectly still except for the slow flexing of his left thumb against his palm.
