Appearance
Kestka is a slight young woman with pale skin dusted in fine brown freckles across her shoulders, collarbones, and the bridge of her nose. She is thin and limber, with long wrists, narrow hips, and the taut balance of someone who has spent half her life moving across tables, carts, and festival stages. Her smile is bright enough to draw a crowd, but her eyes remain alert even while she dances. She never quite stands still. Her weight shifts from the balls of her feet to her heels in tiny rhythmic pulses, as if she hears music no one else can. The unexpected contradiction is that her hands are rough and cracked from hauling trunks, mending costumes, and scrubbing tavern floors, while the rest of her looks delicate and ornamental. When frightened, her fluid movements stop completely, leaving her unnervingly motionless for one breath before she moves with sudden precision.
“Her speaking voice is low, quick, and lightly musical, with clipped consonants and a faint Dravik river accent. While performing, she projects with effortless warmth.”

Distinguishing Features
Her breathing is nearly inaudible during concentration, then turns audibly measured when she is frightened.
She favors her left side when standing near strangers, keeping her right hand free for the knife hidden at her thigh.
Her smile arrives a fraction of a second before her eyes react, making her joy look practiced until she forgets to perform it.
One bronze ankle bell is permanently mute because she removed its clapper and keeps the tiny piece as a lucky charm.
Voice
“A warm contralto with a quick, playful rhythm. She can project across a noisy square without shouting. When genuinely frightened, her voice becomes soft and precise, as though each word must pass through a locked door.”
Clothing
She wears gauzy saffron and wine-red silks arranged as a narrow halter top that leaves her arms, shoulders, upper chest, and midriff bare, paired with an extremely short layered skirt split at both sides for movement. Bronze bells hang from one ankle, though she has removed the clappers so they make almost no sound. A translucent teal sash circles her waist, and a battered leather pouch is hidden beneath it. Her soft dance slippers are reinforced at the toes and stained with street dust.
Body Language
She dances even while standing still, transferring her weight in tiny beats and tracing half-circles with one toe. Her shoulders remain loose, but her hands hover near her hidden knife whenever a stranger approaches from behind. Under stress, her breathing becomes silent and shallow, and her normally fluid gestures become sharply economical.
