First Voice Dareth Iron-Tongue
Fighter 9, custom Guild Marshal
First Voice Dareth Iron-Tongue
Species
Dwarf
Appearance
A broad-shouldered dwarf with the compact strength of a quarryman and the deliberate balance of a man who has spent his life on vibrating iron gantries. His beard is iron-gray at the roots but singed copper at the tips, braided into nine short cords secured with blackened rivets. Soot has settled permanently into the creases around his eyes, giving his stare the look of hammered steel. He walks with a slight limp in his left leg, yet never favors it when entering a room. His hands are scarred, square, and unexpectedly gentle when handling paper, children, or injured workers. He leaves behind the scent of coal dust, hot oil, and bitter juniper salve.
“His voice is low, rough, and resonant, carrying through hammer noise without becoming loud. He pronounces every consonant cleanly, with a faint northern cadence that makes ordinary words sound like entries in a ledger.”

Distinguishing Features
Nine riveted beard-cords, each representing a guild discipline under the Nine Anvils.
A pale scar crossing the left side of his jaw from the Ashfall tunnel collapse.
A silver hearing trumpet folded into his belt, though he rarely admits he needs it.
A blackened wedding ring worn on a chain beneath his armor.
His left leg contains a crude arcane-steel brace that clicks softly whenever he climbs stairs.
Voice
“A low furnace-thrum with a dry edge, steady enough to calm a crowd and sharp enough to cut through a lie.”
Clothing
Ceremonial dark-steel vestments over fitted lamellar armor, each plate etched with guild ledgers and inlaid with thin gold runic wire. A smoke-red sash bears the nine-anvil seal. His boots are practical, oil-stained, and repaired with mismatched copper clasps.
Body Language
Dareth stands with his feet planted wide, one hand resting on the head of his gavel as if it were a cane and a weapon at once. He turns his left ear toward speakers, not from deafness but from habit learned beside roaring furnaces. When someone lies, his thumb rubs the lowest rivet in his beard.
