Aino Adeyemi
Rogue
Aino Adeyemi
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
A slender young woman with the poised, slightly forward-leaning balance of someone accustomed to walking on wet planks and narrow rafters. She has long wrists, elegant hands, and a dancer's economy of movement, but her posture becomes unexpectedly square and stubborn whenever family is mentioned. Her skin has a warm bronze tone with a faint olive cast, and tiny pale freckles gather across her shoulders like spilled millet. Her hair is dark brown, thick, and loosely curled, usually gathered into a low knot with three blue glass beads hidden near the nape. She smells distinctly of wet cedar, crushed mint, and lamp oil, a scent she does not notice until someone points it out. In bright light, her expression seems open and almost guileless. In shadow, the stillness of her face makes her look like a painted saint who has just thought of a crime.
“Measured and musical, with soft consonants and a tendency to let important words land at the end of a sentence. She speaks quickly when discussing routes or tools, slowly when discussing betrayal, and almost whispers when making a serious promise.”

Distinguishing Features
The scent of wet cedar, crushed mint, and lamp oil follows her, even after she has changed clothes.
Three blue glass beads are woven into the underside of her dark curls and only appear when she turns her head.
A pale crescent-shaped birthmark sits on the inside of her left wrist beneath a constantly checked bone bead.
Her smile arrives a heartbeat late, as though she first decides whether it is safe to show.
She walks almost silently but makes a soft clicking sound with her tongue when counting steps.
Voice
“A low, clear contralto with a gentle rasp at the edges, like a reed flute played beside running water. She rarely raises it, but people nearby tend to quiet themselves to hear her.”
Clothing
A moss-green wool jacket with a high collar, a cream linen shirt, close-fitting charcoal trousers, and soft leather boots reinforced with stitched river-reed fibers. A blue sash holds her coin purse and tools. Her clothing is carefully mended in contrasting thread, making every repair visible and deliberate.
Body Language
She keeps one thumb hooked beneath the cord around her wrist and repeatedly checks that a tiny bone bead is still there. She tilts her head when listening, not from confusion but to hear changes in breathing. When lying, she becomes perfectly still, which makes her lies easier to notice than her truths.
