Guram Adeyemi
Cleric, Forge Domain
Guram Adeyemi
Species
Human
Appearance
Guram is a broad, weathered human man with the compact strength of someone who has hauled stone, turned soil, and carried injured strangers down bad roads. His skin is deep brown with a copper undertone, roughened across the knuckles and forearms by years of forge work. His lower canines are unusually long and visible even when his mouth is closed, giving his rare smiles a startling wolfishness that contradicts his gentle manner. He walks with a slight forward lean, as though bracing against wind that no one else can feel. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice that he checks the brass ring on his left thumb whenever anyone says the word 'promise.' He smells faintly of beeswax, iron filings, and cardamom.
“Low, patient, and carefully paced. He speaks with a worn regional cadence that rounds some consonants and gives certain vowels a warm, open sound.”

Distinguishing Features
Unusually long lower canine teeth that show whenever he laughs or eats tough bread
A brass thumb ring etched with tiny notches, one for every person he has carried out of danger
A habit of checking and turning the ring whenever someone makes a promise
His left palm is permanently darkened by forge soot that no soap can fully remove
He laughs silently first, shoulders shaking, then produces one abrupt bark of sound
Voice
“A low baritone with a dry rasp, like a shovel dragged over packed earth. His laughter is abrupt and unexpectedly bright, while his prayers sound almost conversational.”
Clothing
A soot-brown wool coat over a faded blue tunic, reinforced trousers, soft leather boots, and a heavy iron prayer chain worn like a belt. His sleeves are rolled high enough to show his forearms. A strip of mustard-yellow cloth is tied around one wrist, a family custom meant to remind the wearer that work is a form of prayer.
Body Language
Guram keeps his hands visible and his shoulders square. He leans close when listening, but steps back from anyone who raises a hand too quickly. His thumb repeatedly circles the brass ring on his left hand. When angry, he becomes very still, lowers his chin, and begins arranging nearby objects into straight lines.
