Vorinth Pyre-Engine

Vorinth Pyre-Engine
Species
Dragonborn, Brass Draconic Ancestry
Appearance
Vorinth is a broad-shouldered brass dragonborn whose scales have been dulled by years of furnace vapor, chemical wash, and volcanic ash. Pale chemical burns stipple his forearms and gather in darker rings around the joints of his jaw and neck. His heat-shielded armor moves with the measured precision of a machine, each plate sliding with a soft click before settling into place. He keeps one hand resting on a black calibration rod worn smooth where his thumb passes over it during every conversation. His teeth are square and unusually pale against his brass muzzle, but two lower fangs have been capped in silver alloy. When he eats, he cuts food into exact portions and chews with slow, grinding deliberation. When he laughs, which is rare, the silver caps flash like rivets in a furnace door. Despite his severe bearing, he smells faintly of cinnamon oil, a private indulgence used to mask the harsher scents of his laboratories.
“His speech is precise and low, with a faint rasp from years of inhaling furnace dust. He rarely contracts words.”

Distinguishing Features
A black calibration rod is always in his right hand, polished smooth beneath the thumb and scored with tiny temperature marks.
Two lower fangs are capped in silver alloy, visible whenever he eats or smiles.
His armor exhales a faint cinnamon-scented mist when its cooling vents open.
Chemical burns form pale concentric rings around his wrists and jaw joints.
Every piece of his armor bears a tiny handwritten test number, even the buckles.
Voice
“A low furnace rasp, controlled and intimate, as though every sentence is being spoken beside a banked fire”
Clothing
Insulated dragon-hide aprons hang over heat-shielded plate mail, stained with reagent splashes and edged in copper thread. His left shoulder bears the black-and-copper seal of the Warfoundry Directorate. A small pouch of cinnamon bark is tied beneath his breastplate.
Body Language
Vorinth stands with his torso angled toward the nearest exit or control panel. His claws tap measured intervals against his calibration rod. When angered, he stops moving altogether, and the armor's cooling vents become the only sign that he is still breathing.
