Appearance
Mosi Kawa appears as a grown, broad-shouldered man from the Mwangi coast whose torso rises from a twisting column of seawater, vapor, and bruised-blue cloud. His skin is deep brown with a wet, stone-like sheen, as though rain has just passed over it. His long white beard does not hang downward. It streams sideways in a constant wind, carrying tiny shells, leaves, and pale sparks. His hair is close-cropped at the temples but lifts above his crown like torn cloudbanks. His bare feet never quite touch the ground, yet he leans his weight onto them when waiting, leaving dark puddles beneath his heels. The unexpected contradiction is his mouth: when he laughs, his teeth are small, square, and carefully clean, like a dockworker's, while his jaw cracks with the sound of distant thunder. His lower body is not anatomy but weather, alternating between muscular currents, foaming surf, and black cloud. He leaves behind the impression of an exhausted laborer who could drown a harbor by turning his head.
“His voice sounds like a tired adult speaking across a working harbor. It is low, gravelly, and unhurried, with distant thunder beneath certain words.”

Distinguishing Features
His white beard streams sideways in a constant invisible wind.
His lower body shifts between surf, rain, and storm cloud while leaving damp marks on solid ground.
His square, immaculate teeth show whenever he laughs, creating an unexpectedly ordinary expression.
A line of tiny brass bells is woven into his sash, but they ring only when someone nearby has broken a promise.
His shadow falls in the direction of the nearest large body of water, regardless of the light source.
Voice
“A low harbor voice layered with rain on canvas, surf against stone, and distant thunder. When he speaks gently, the sound resembles water poured into a wooden bowl.”
Clothing
A sleeveless indigo wrap coat, patched with sailcloth and weighted at the hem with small brass fishing bells. A faded green sash crosses his waist, and a weather-stained mantle of woven reeds hangs from one shoulder. His ornaments are practical: a shell cord, a copper hook, and a wooden bead carved like a dripping leaf.
Body Language
When standing still, Mosi Kawa places his weight forward as though braced against a strong tide. He keeps one hand open at waist height, palm upward, and rarely points with a finger. His beard and clothing move before the rest of him does. When pleased, he lowers his head until rain gathers on his brow. When furious, he becomes perfectly motionless except for water running upward along his arms.
