Species
Kyrtherian
Appearance
Kyrtherian is a tall, narrow-shouldered Kyrtherian with a predatory stillness that makes every motion feel deliberate. His skin has a dull bronze cast beneath a lattice of old, pale scale scars, especially along his throat and hands. His hair is cropped close on one side and hangs in coarse black cords on the other, each cord threaded with tiny copper dragon teeth. His eyes are mismatched: one molten amber, one clouded pearl with a vertical red pupil. He moves with a quiet, almost priestly grace, but when angered his shoulders hunch and his head jerks forward like a hunting vulture. Despite his brutal reputation, his hands are extraordinarily gentle when tending injured animals, and he becomes visibly embarrassed if anyone notices.
“His voice is low and carefully paced, with a dry rasp beneath the words. He speaks Common like a sermon translated from Draconic, giving ordinary objects ceremonial names.”

Distinguishing Features
A vertical scar runs from his lower lip to the center of his throat.
Five tiny metal scales are embedded beneath the skin of his left palm.
His shadow sometimes appears to have a horned head several inches taller than his own.
He wears a child's blue glass bead on a cord beneath his robes.
His left eye reflects five colors when exposed to magical light.
Voice
“A deep, restrained rasp that can become warm enough to sound almost kind, then turn cold without rising in volume.”
Clothing
A layered vestment of scaled red leather beneath a sleeveless black robe, with five differently colored silk panels hanging from the belt. His boots are soft-soled for temple floors, but reinforced with hidden iron strips. A cracked bronze gorget protects his throat.
Body Language
He keeps his hands folded over the head of his scepter during conversation, as if restraining them. When lying, he rubs the copper tooth at his throat. When preparing violence, he lowers his chin and smiles without showing his teeth.
