Korr Krallenspur
Trapwright
Korr Krallenspur
Species
Waldpfoten
Appearance
Korr is a compact, broad-shouldered Waldpfoten with russet-brown fur darkened at the elbows and knees by years of mud, peat smoke, and bog water. His coat lies in uneven weatherproof ridges, as though every rainstorm has combed him with a different hand. His palms are thick and pale with callus, crossed by tiny black splinters of iron and thorn that he refuses to remove. He moves with an unnerving, economical quiet, placing each foot as if the earth might spring shut beneath it. A polished brass kettle hangs from his belt beside a pouch of sharpened fish bones. The unexpected contradiction is his immaculate smile, bright and courteous beneath a perpetually mud-stained muzzle, making him look more like a village host than a notorious trapper.
“Measured and cordial, with a dry rural humor. He pauses before important words, as though testing whether they might snap like a poorly made cord.”

Distinguishing Features
A tail braided with red survey thread, each knot marking a trap he has successfully tested.
Hands heavily callused and dusted with permanent gray iron residue.
A brass kettle that whistles whenever the wind shifts, despite having no visible opening.
His broad smile and unfailingly polite manners, even while discussing how to immobilize someone.
A faint scent of cedar oil, wet stone, and smoked eel.
Voice
“A low, dry baritone softened by a courteous purr, like pebbles rolling inside a wooden box.”
Clothing
A sleeveless waxed-canvas coat patched with sailcloth, reed-fiber trousers tucked into waterproof boots, a moss-green scarf, and a belt crowded with cord, hooks, bait tins, bone markers, and brass measuring clips.
Body Language
Korr keeps his shoulders relaxed and his weight slightly forward, ready to spring sideways rather than backward. His fingers constantly test knots, hems, buckles, and cord tension. When someone lies, his whiskers become perfectly still.
