Elaramis 'Old Salt' Thalassa
Commoner
Elaramis 'Old Salt' Thalassa
Species
Half-Sea Elf
Appearance
Elaramis is a haunting figure, her skin so pale and translucent that the blue flicker of her veins is visible like currents on a map. She is hunched as if bearing the weight of a mile of water. On her left shoulder and along her collarbone, clusters of actual, living barnacles have rooted into her flesh, occasionally clicking in the damp night air. Her hair is a matted tangle of salt-bleached grey that feels like dried kelp. Most unsettling are her eyes, which are wide, bioluminescent indigo, and never seem to close even when she sleeps.
“Her voice sounds like wet gravel being ground together. She speaks in rhythmic, circular riddles and refers to the ocean as 'The Great Mirror'.”

Faintly glowing veins in her neck
Voice

Clothing
She wears layers of salt-encrusted rags held together by fish netting. A heavy, waterlogged wool shawl that smells of deep-sea ozone and brine is permanently draped over her barnacled shoulder.

She moves with a swaying, liquid gait as if she is constantly compensating for the roll of a ship. She often tilts her head to one side to 'listen' to the moisture in the air.
