Appearance
Assembly Floor Foreman Coda is a compact, ruggedly built Gearforged standing beneath a broad reinforced steel chest plate that bears years of hammer strikes, soot stains, and carefully polished inspection marks. Its smooth matte ceramic faceplate is pale gray and almost featureless except for a narrow horizontal visor that glows with a restrained amber light. The faceplate has a hairline fracture from brow to jaw, repaired with three visible copper staples that make the damage look deliberate. Finely articulated copper-alloy fingers move with extraordinary precision, although their tips are blackened and scuffed from decades of gripping hot components. A heavy-duty industrial tool harness crosses its torso, carrying calipers, punch keys, insulated clamps, spare springs, and a folding arc-welder wand. Coda walks with a measured, slightly uneven gait because its left knee servo was never properly replaced. Despite its brutal factory construction, it keeps one small ivory flower made from polished scrap steel tucked beneath its collar plate, an unexpectedly delicate ornament amid the smoke and iron.
“Precise, clipped, and slightly rhythmic, with faint clicks between phrases as internal processors sort possible responses. Coda's voice sounds like a calm foreman's announcement carried through an old brass speaking tube.”

Distinguishing Features
A hairline fracture across the ceramic faceplate repaired with three copper staples.
A left knee servo that produces a soft click every seventh step.
Copper fingertips permanently darkened by furnace soot.
A tiny steel flower hidden beneath the collar plate.
Amber visor light that narrows into a sharp line when Coda detects a lie.
Voice
“A low, measured contralto filtered through resonant brass, with a faint furnace hum beneath every word. When Coda is angry, the voice becomes quieter and loses all mechanical distortion.”
Clothing
A heat-scorched charcoal work coat hangs from Coda's shoulders beneath its harness. The coat is patched with red inspection cloth, stamped with outdated guild symbols, and lined with asbestos-like arcane fiber. It wears thick segmented gaiters, a utility sash, and a copper badge identifying it as a floor foreman.
Body Language
Coda rarely gestures broadly. It communicates through tiny adjustments of posture, turning its visor a few degrees toward sounds, tapping two fingers against its chest plate, and positioning its body between workers and authority figures. Before answering personal questions, it freezes mid-motion for three to seven seconds while internal security protocols compete with its desire to tell the truth.
