Tarrin Wyle
Bog-Tender
Tarrin Wyle
Species
Human
Appearance
Tall and narrow as a river reed, with water-slick boots, a salt-stiffened cloak, and hands permanently stained brown-black from peat and tannin. His movement is careful but not timid, each step placed like he is reading a sentence only he can see in the mud. One ear is pierced with a hammered brass fishhook, and despite his grim work he wears a tiny embroidered sun amulet bright enough to look almost foolish against the gloom.
“Low, measured, and full of local terms for mud, water, and rot. He rarely raises his voice, preferring a hard warning delivered like a matter-of-fact fact.”

Distinguishing Features
A crescent-shaped scar on the left side of his throat from a buried fishbone trap.
Three white reed tattoos on his wrist, each marking a path that cost him a life.
One boot heel is hollowed with hidden tinder and salt.
His cloak lining is sewn from fragments of old map linen.
His right pupil is slightly clouded from fen water exposure, giving him a permanently watchful stare.
Voice
“Quiet, rasped, and practical, like someone speaking near sleeping predators.”
Clothing
Layered reed-fiber tunic, waxed leather breeches, patched wader boots, peat-stained cloak, fingerless gloves, and a bandolier of hooks, twine, and carved markers.
Body Language
Shoulders slightly forward, chin tucked, hands always busy with rope, knife, or reed stalks. He scans the ground more than faces, but when he looks at someone directly it feels like being measured for burial or rescue, depending on the day.
