Appearance
Kito is a compact, weather-hardened man whose stillness feels more deliberate than restful. His skin has the deep brown tone of roasted chestnuts, with a fine sheen of oil and sweat that never quite disappears, even in cold weather. He moves with a soldier's economy, placing each foot as if the ground might give way, yet his hands are unusually gentle when handling cups, birds, or frightened children. His breath is normally slow and audible through the nose, carrying the dry scent of clove oil, saddle leather, and iron filings. The contradictory impression is immediate: he looks built to break a door, but his eyes have the patient, watchful softness of someone who spends more time listening than speaking.

Body Language
Kito keeps his shoulders relaxed and his hands visible, but his weight is always balanced over the balls of his feet. When irritated, he presses his tongue briefly against the inside of his cheek. When frightened, his breathing becomes perfectly silent, which is more alarming than any shouted threat.
